Did anyone see Place in the Country on Tuesday teatime? It began by showing Barcroft Mill Engine running and mentioned volunteers keep it going. It then showed a house in Barnoldswick, somewhere high up overlooking Salterforth. I think they could have done with sunglasses to go round, the owners certainly like bright colours. Every room was different - the bedroom walls were navy blue.! They also showed a house at Colne and one near Ingleton. The prospective buyers then decided to move their search to Lincolnshire. I think some of these people just want to be on the tele.!!

I can't think of any place in Lincolnshire to match what they saw in the district. I also thought the Blue, Yellow, and Red a little over the top. What was the price of that house in barrowford again £565000 I thought you could buy the whole village for that !!!!!!!!

I don't remember one in Barrowford - thought it was Ingleton; Barlick and the mystery house in Colne.

I think most of the participants on this programme are timewasters, more often than not, they haven't even got their house on the market..
In all the years this programme hasbeen broadcast, I have only seen a handful purchase one of the selected properties..

I didn't see the programme but a big house above Foulridge that springs to mind is Springfield on the hillside up towards Whitemoor Res.

I prefer Location Loaction Location . At least people actually buy there AND Kirsty and Phil actually do MATCH up the spec of the prospective buyers . You know they will never buy in place in the country etc
If you keep searching you'll find it |

Trouble is they need to sell their own houses first - otherwise they are timewasters.
