600hp Textile mill engine run in steam. Rope drive, hand fired boilers, weaving demonstrations on Lancashire looms. Textile related displays. Museum shop, tearoom, toilets, and disabled friendly. Went to the steaming here on March 27th 2005. It was completely by accident, really, as we were out for a ramble and had no idea the engine would be on that day. It was a smashing diversion on a rainy day - we got to see the engine running, being stopped and started, and also a weaving display.

Plus, they make a nice cup of tea in the shop!

Highly recommended.
