As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

thanks stanley, conor had an interveiw with the modelmaking department at aardman and has got himself a much treasured offer of work experience in may, so hes really excited about it and cant wait, we met nick park a few weeks ago, and your right he was a really nice man, but didnt really have time to chat as it was at a game signing of his new board game 'fleeced',
im hoping that he will be lucky enough to get to do a career what he loves, we all know how hard it is to get up everyday to a job just for the money!!!

thankyou for your kind comments everyone, i think its lovely that you all have been kind, im excited to think of the future and what he will be able to produce in maybe five years,!!!

You've done exactly the right thing and if he is getting in at Aardman he is at the cutting edge of animation.  Now about more of his pics.........

I wish him well with his career, I think you are right to back him in this, it is so much easier to work at what you love doing. One of my kids is going down this route, and for a while i kept muttering about keeping options open, but you don't get great talent if you dilute it...apparantly Piccasso refused to do anything but draw when he was at school as a young boy, in the end they put him in a room and let him get on with it!
A lifetime ago I had a future as an artist but life took some different turns and it didn't happen....consquently I spent thirty years or more feeling like a huge thing was missing from my life....So go for it Conty!

Superb Tom. Try an electric erase for some of the fine tuning. The range of effects that can be acheived is quite great. Not that I can draw at all. Nolic
