Moh, I sat in front room last night listening to hail and rain battering window, takes a NW wind to do that. Glass going up and down like  yo-yo, it's at 29.7" this morning and agrees with Foulridge weather station. Dry, hardly any wind. Looks slightly better.

I forgot to look before I came upstairs.  Very windy and wet again, cold too.

Turned out wet and windy again and in the evening the wimd came back with a vengeance! Lashing rain m ost of the night I think. Still raining and blowing this morning, funny wind, not steady, very violent gusts. Glass has fallen to 29.2" and a bad forecast. Deep Joy!

A sleepless and anxious night here. The noise of the wind round the house was awful. A quick check round this morning shows that only a garden bench has come to grief. It is in pieces about 3 yards (and a low wall) away from where it was. My polytunnel appears to have survived, but I can see the roof of my neighbours large stock barn has panels flapping in the wind.
60mph gusts around midnight.

The wind awful here too last night..I think the gusts must have exceeded the 60/70 mph reported, I have never heard anything like it in all my years here, and it has taken bricks out of a neighbours wall.

Same here, it has blown a panel out of our neighbour's fence.  I was woken during the night with hailstones lashing on the bedroom windows.  Wind has dropped slightly and we have blue sky & sunshine.
