I received today my 60 pounds electoral bribe generous bonus from Gordon Brown. I imagine a few other contibutors will also do so. As a pathetic and futile bi-digital gesture of comtempt for this government. I have decide to give it away. After at least a full minute's careful consideration, I have bought Stanley's Bancroft book, and given the balance to the site fund. I did not donate last year, as I was not happy with the direction we were going in, but now we seem to be back on track (purely a personal opinion of course), so it's back to contributing.
Good stuff this French brown ale.........

What a sensible use of the money. I don't even know whether I have got mine..... Did you put some on one side for Brown and Pickles?

I have used mine towards a bigger and better screen seeing as I am spending so much time in front of it. 22" fast response better than the old one which was a good 19" screen. That can go on the old IBM and I can get rid of the last CRT monitor and win space on desk.

It means something to me too Sue. Actually with hindsight, I should have said spend rather than give away, and I think I have got good value. I do have a worrying tendency to flippancy, especially after a few bottles of Pelforth Brune!

Don't get me wrong either. It takes some of the pressure off and lets me do what I want. I'm very grateful for it.

I know, just tempering the flippancy with a serious note. You can go back to flippant now.

In the 1940s many teachers ruled by terror..... Even the good ones had to be watched.

Worst one I had used to grab you and shake you. That was bad enough but what was even worse was the way she slavered when she did it. An indelible memory......
