Can anyone suggest a local company who do galvanizing? Mr F. needs to get the metal bits for his next wind turbine project galvanized,,, so its just a small quantity.

I don't know who does this commercially now. Fifty years ago there was a firm in Blackburn who did hot galvanising, the best sort. I used to take flashings there from KMP and they were pickled and then dipped in molten zinc. The most usual way of doing this now is electrolytically. Look for a firm who does electro plating and ask them. If they don't do zinc plate they will know who can.

Give one of the local engineering companies a ring and ask them who they use.......

theres a company in colne who do chrome plating, they would know.

Tanks and Drums at Bradford will do small items as well as large and usually in 48hrs, dont know the number off hand but google them, very easy to get to aswell, its just off the ringroad.
If you cant fix it with an hammer, you have an electrical problem. |
