Hi, Yes I remember Otis Reading coming down the Imp, I may still have one of the tickets from that, my Father was the Manager at the time. Trish

I've searched for venues on the Stax tour of '67 but they only ever seem to talk about the London ones. Did I dream this? I'm sure I remember Sam & Dave and Booker T at this show too

Hi Trish, some great names there. However, I was only 10 in 1967 but started to like chart music late 1960s. I was in to that bubble gum music in the early 70's. Still love to listen to all those pop hits. Do you remember White Plains - When you are a king, and The Rubbetts - Suger baby love. Great stuff. I like 60's stuff too. Ray.

There is of course, a great book "Going down th Imp" which has the definitive list of artists ...... My Uncle Roland was part owner with Dad's best friend Alec Holt .....gave my copy of the book to a "deserving cause " last year and mean to get another !

Empyream, From my listing info, Otis Redding show at the Imp was April 1st 1967. This show also featured Eddie Floyd, The Barkeys & Sam and Dave. Booker T & the MGs, Arthur Conley, & Cream appeared on April 8th 1967 Hope this helps, Dave

Curved Air mentioned in 1976. 1971 yes I was there...but in 1976 ? Who else was part of the revival of rock acts at The Imp in the mid 70's?
